Telehealth uses the most up-to-date technology to bring quality medical care to you wherever you are. Through televisits, one of our providers can address your healthcare needs remotely for many common conditions and ailments. Televisits are virtual video appointments with a local BFP provider.  In the first month of the COVID19 pandemic, we served over 1000 patients through telemedicine.

​HOW DO I SCHEDULE A TELEVISIT?
Call our office and a staff member will assist in scheduling your televisit and activating your Patient Portal Account.

You will receive a confirmation email AND reminder email prior to your televisit.

  • From your phone, we recommend you download the "Healow" app and connect through the app.
  • From your computer, you have two options:
       1)  Click "Join Televisit" directly from the link in your reminder email
       2)  Log-in to the Patient Portal (below) 
and click on "Join Televisit" under your
             scheduled appointments
  • Once you have clicked "Join Televisit," you will fill out the requested information and questionnaire. 
  • Then click "Proceed" to check your computer’s speed and ability to support a televisit.
  • Click "Start Visit" to join the virtual waiting room.
  • Your televisit will begin when your BFP provider joins the virtual video appointment.

  • For technical difficulties, visit "Telehealth Help" at the bottom left corner of Patient Portal for common questions and live chat support.
  • If you get disconnected during the call, simply re-enter the call the exact same way you did before. If your provider gets disconnected, remain on the call until they are able to join again.
  • ​If you need to cancel or reschedule your televisit, contact our office at 843-761-8800 and will be happy to assist you.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN A TELEVISIT?
All current patients.  Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
  • Active Patient Portal account with username & password
  • Device (smartphone or computer) with camera & speaker
  • Internet connection
  • Secure location to talk with your provider​

​During the COVID19 outbreak, we are able to conduct a televisit through other means of video communication including FaceTime and GoogleDuo.  Our staff can help guide you on what platform to use based on the technology available.
WHEN DO YOU OFFER TELEVISITS?
All of our providers conduct televisits and we offer these appointments during normal business hours.  
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
HOW MUCH DOES A TELEVISIT COST?
A televisit is billed to your insurance like a normal office visit.  During COVID19 outbreak, insurances may waive deductibles and copays.  For self-pay patients, the fee is $60 and must be paid in advance of your appointment. 
HOW long does a televisit last?
The length of your appointment will depend on the complexity of your visit but on average, you can expect approximately 15 minutes.
